Hi, I’m Olivia and I have been a co-opted Governor at Hindley J and I since 2020. I became a school Governor because I am extremely passionate about education and I wanted to contribute towards the learning of the younger generation.

On the governing board I have taken on the ‘pupil well being’ role. I believe a child’s mental well being is just as important as their academic experience at school, so I wanted to ensure that this is a key focus for the schools performance.

As a student studying Events Management at university I believe my current experience in the educational system will aid my position as a school Governor to empathise with the pupils from a different perspective.
