Hi. My name is Rachael and I have been a governor at Hindley J and I since 2018. I love being involved with a school in the local community and enjoy making a difference to the children of Hindley. I currently own four business with my husband in the heart of Hindley and bring both financial and business knowledge to the governing board, sitting on the main governing board as well as the assets committee.

In addition, I previously worked as a primary school teacher myself before having my little boy. I therefore also draw on my knowledge as a teacher to help in my role as a governor. Finally, as a mother of a school aged child I feel this helps me to understand what parents are looking for from a school and what is important to them.
