I’ve been a parent governor since 2019 and I find the role very interesting and rewarding. My youngest son attends Hindley J&I and I first applied to be a governor to become more involved with school life and to help make the school the best it can be for the pupils and staff.
I hold responsibilities of joint Vice Chair of the Board, Chair of the Standards and Curriculum committee, writing Governor, and sit on the Asset committee.

I have a degree in mathematics and work as a Senior Buyer in the Water Engineering sector. I use the transferrable skills of procurement and data analysis to help with my Governing Role, as well as my views and opinions as a parent at the school.

In my spare time, I love to watch rugby, read (especially Harry Potter!), listen to country music and socialise with friends and family.
